The Department of Food Safety/Hygiene and Risk Management of National Cheng Kung University was established in 2017. Based on the principle of “cultivating academic research and industrial talents in food safety, hygiene, and risk management”, our department emphasize future development needs by combining basic, innovative, and practical knowledge, as well as an international perspective of a global village and pollution without borders. It is our responsibility and mission to contribute back to society, applying our knowledge in local food safety and hygiene issues.

Educational Goals
- To educate food safety, health and risk management of academic research and industry professionals.
- With safety production, health risk assessment and management, toxicology, analytical technology interdisciplinary expertise.
- To educate high-level management personnel with knowledge of safety food industry chain.
